Principal's Message

Welcome To Longfellow Elementary School!

Greetings to all Longfellow parents,

Let me first say that we are excited about our students returning to school. There are some procedures and guidelines that we all have to follow that have changed our opening day process. Due to guidelines that we have to adhere to for the safety and welfare of all, we are asking everyone to follow the outlined procedures:

  • Parents/Guardians will not be allowed to enter the building for student drop off and pick up.
  • All students are to wear a mask upon entering the building.  Masks will be provided if students do not have one.
  • All water fountains have been turned off and students will be given water bottles that will be sent home daily for cleaning.  Parents/Guardians please fill your student/s water bottles prior to sending them to school.
  • Nurse Nikki will be outside to receive medicine.

We will have a staff member at each entrance to receive and dismiss your student.

    A.M.  - Student Entrance

  • Please remain in your vehicle as a staff member will be directing traffic to relieve congestion.
  • Student pick up cards will be distributed via students’ backpacks on the first day.  Each student will be given two yellow I.D. cards. I.D. cards will need to be displayed in the windshield upon pick up after the first day.

  • Parents of students not officially enrolled and have never attended Longfellow will be given a white information card and a blue medical card to be filled out and returned.

  • Parents still needing to enroll their student/s can either do so via   phone. Alternatively, register your student/s in the school building from 3pm – 5pm.
  • Please send a note with your child of how they are to be picked up so we can place them in the correct pick up line.
  • Doors open at 7:45 am and the school day ends at 2:40 p.m.

  • If there are any questions and or concerns, please feel free to call the school.

Sincerely and with Lion Pride,
